Megan’s Grays Greenhouse Maternity Session

I met Megan and Mitch a few years back when Megan contacted me to photography their first pregnancy with Mila.

We had a great session back then at Metro Beach, and it’s still one of my favorite local spots.

But with this pregnancy, it was a little harder because we had a hard time finding a place to go. After all, it was winter. Then when I was a sneak peek from another photographer friend posted in a greenhouse, I showed Megan, and we made the switch. I couldn’t be happier with how these pictures came out. This is a great option all year round, but it is incredible in the winter for a lot of reasons.

Here are a few things to consider when planing a session here.

First, you do need to make sure they are available on the day you’re planning to take pictures because they are by appointment only. Next, there is a small photography fee, it was $40 when we went without knowing we need to have an appointment. I did call ahead, but unfortunately, the person who happens to answer the phone wasn’t an employee, he was a volunteer. I asked all the right questions; he just happens to give me all the wrong information. So, now I better and to always ask for a manager, learned that the hard way. Thank god they still let us pay the fee and shoot there that day!

Grey’s Green House was so accommodating, and I loved the setting

The last thing to keep in mind is that the greenhouse is open while your there. So there is a strong possibility that you will have to work around people shopping for plants.

But overall I would really recommend going here for maternity photos again, and im looking forward to going again one day.
